The Arts & Craft Prize of Hainaut 2023 is awarded to Grégoire Vigneron, an artist and bookbinder who creates contemporary paper artworks, preferably without the use of glue, all crafted by hand in his Tokowo workshop in Braine-le-Comte. The jury’s special mention goes to Anne Janssens and Alain Deguide. These enthusiasts of glass art present a range of creations with lampworked glass beads, crafted in their Bagatelles Créations workshop in Saint-Vaast.
Their works are showcased at the Arts & Craft Prize 2023 Exhibition, titled ‘Material & Gesture,’ until November 19 at the Orangery of the Château de Seneffe, alongside 43 artisans from the Arts & Craft of Hainaut.
The Orangery of the Château de Seneffe provides its prestigious setting for the event. Over a hundred objects, both utilitarian and decorative, will illustrate various craft disciplines, including ceramics, sculpture, glass and textile creations, traditional and contemporary lace, woodturning, blacksmithing, jewelry, cutlery, basketry, and more.
Congratulations to Grégoire Vigneron (Braine-le-Comte) for winning the Arts & Craft Prize of Hainaut 2023.
